1. About FixPros

FixPros ("we", "us", "our") is a professional home services company based in Chicago, Illinois. We provide tile installation, painting, plumbing, electrical, and wood works to residential and commercial customers across Illinois.

2. Estimates & Quotes

All estimates provided by FixPros — whether in person, by phone, or by email — are free of charge and carry no obligation to proceed with service.

• Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued
• Final pricing may differ from estimates if the scope of work changes after the initial visit
• Written quotes are binding once signed by both parties
• Verbal estimates are approximate and subject to on-site confirmation

3. Booking & Appointments

Booking a visit through our website is a request — not a confirmed appointment until we contact you to confirm. We will respond within 1 hour during business hours.

• We reserve the right to decline any service request
• Appointment times are approximate and may vary due to job conditions
• Please ensure someone is available at the property during the scheduled visit
• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance

4. Emergency & Urgent Services

• Emergency dispatch fee: $150–$250 (same-day urgent calls)
• After-hours surcharge (after 6pm, weekends): additional $100–$200
• Holiday surcharge: additional $200–$350
• All surcharges are disclosed by phone before dispatch

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• Accepted payment methods: Cash, Zelle, Venmo, check
• For larger projects, a deposit of 25–50% may be required before work begins
• Materials purchased on your behalf must be paid for before purchase or reimbursed immediately
• Overdue invoices may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month

6. Materials

Unless explicitly stated in a written quote, our prices cover labor only. Materials (tiles, paint, lumber, fixtures, etc.) are not included and will be billed separately or purchased by the customer.

• We can source materials on your behalf at market price
• Customer-supplied materials must be appropriate for the job — we are not responsible for defects in customer-supplied materials
• Leftover materials remain the property of the customer unless otherwise agreed

7. Warranty & Workmanship

FixPros stands behind the quality of our work. We offer the following workmanship warranty:

• Tile installation: 1 year on labor (excludes tile cracking due to structural movement or improper substrate)
• Painting: 1 year on labor (excludes fading, peeling caused by moisture or surface conditions)
• Plumbing repairs: 90 days on labor
• Electrical work: 90 days on labor
• Wood works: 1 year on labor

Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, third-party modifications, or normal wear and tear. Manufacturer warranties on materials are separate and handled directly with the manufacturer.

8. Cancellations

• Cancellations with 24+ hours notice: No charge
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice: $75 cancellation fee may apply
• No-shows (customer not present at agreed time): $75 trip fee may apply
• Emergency calls cancelled after dispatch: Emergency dispatch fee applies

9. Property Access & Safety

By booking a service visit, you confirm you have the legal right to authorize work at the property. You agree to:

• Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area
• Remove or secure valuables and fragile items near the work area
• Inform us of any known hazards (asbestos, lead paint, mold, structural issues)
• Ensure pets are secured away from the work area

FixPros is not liable for damage to unsecured items near the work area or for pre-existing conditions not disclosed prior to work beginning.

10. Liability

FixPros carries general liability insurance. In the event of damage caused directly by our work, our liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the damaged item, up to the value of the service performed.

We are not liable for: indirect or consequential damages, pre-existing structural issues discovered during work, or damage resulting from customer-supplied materials.

11. Permits

Some work (electrical panels, structural changes, certain plumbing) may require municipal permits. Permit fees are not included in our quotes and are the responsibility of the property owner unless otherwise agreed in writing.

12. Photos & Marketing

We may photograph completed work for our portfolio, website, and social media. Photos will not include identifiable personal information. If you prefer we do not photograph your project, please notify us before work begins and we will respect your request.

13. Website Use

The fix-pros.com website is provided for informational purposes. We make no warranties that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free. Pricing and availability information on the website is approximate and subject to change without notice.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
